Fuse box cover

Featured Replies

Having read here about water getting into the fusebox, I had a poke around mine today and, though the cover is a bit hard to remove, I found the whole thing bone dry. There is a pretty efficient looking seal around the inside of the lid. Has this part been revised since the reported problems? My car is a June 2005 2.0FSI

The covers have been modified. Just make sure its back on properly and dont hose directly around that area wih the bonnet up.

Thanks, yes I was careful putting it back - the book says that in some models the battery is in the way but too dodgy to remove!! But the cover did wangle back in okay.

Do You have any info about the modified fuse box cover?

ID or chassis number range of involved cars?

Mine is from February 2005 and I'm interested whether mine is the modified cover ot not.

Thanks in advance!
