Fixed price service plan at 36,500

Featured Replies

Evening

I've got my 2015 scout booked in for a service tomorrow, I've had it 5 months, when I brought it from skoda, I paid £139 for the next two services.

the skoda garage has said it's due a major service this time, am I right in thinking I will have to pay for any brake pads/discs if needed, the service plan reads about a lots of checks ,but not a lot else.... also should the DSG transmission oil be changed now, and how much will I be charged, sorry for all the questions, first car that I can't take down my local garage as still under warranty

Can’t help with the rest but I know the standard Skoda fixed price for DSG oil is £179 and it’s every 40k or so. My local dealer who are useless but have a good service manager will do a minor service and DSG oil for me for £300. I only want the electronic stamp in the book tbh and I’ll do whatever they don’t myself :)

Thanks for that info, I guess I'll have to speak to the service manager when I arrive to advise on the extra costs

I would think that any lubricants listed for changing on the next two scheduled service will be included, however, discs and pads aren’t service items (apart from checking for wear), they are consumables so would be chargeable if needed.

Best you check what they are doing at those 2 services.  Get that emailed to you, so that it is clear in writing.

If the 3 year Brake Fluid change is due this year, and the 3 year Haldex Oil change that is unlikely to be done without you paying extra.

and if they are not doing the Servicing in the Offer you got to Manufacturers Specification Guidelines they are taking the Michael,

and often Dealerships do,

The DSG Oil change is due at 40,000 miles and that can be £179.

So now is the time to have it done.

So £179. £79 Haldex, £52 Brake Fluid. Or there abouts.

I hope the Air filter is being changed at this service and it is not just said as Not require, it needs checked.

If the Pollen Filter was not done last time, due now.

No point of £139 & £139 if no Major Service items get provided / replaced and they are Minor / Inspection Services only.

Possible Brakes, Haldex oil, dsg oil etc... all my thoughts of two services for £140 out the window, I'll post up tomorrow evening how it went
