I know this relates to the mk2 but is it a close relation to the mk1 vrs, just with different injectors and turbo etc.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried to search but came up blank.

What are the differences in the engine between the 1.9 in the vrs and the 1.9 in the mk2.

The turbo, injectors and the mapping basically, yours is an updated PD100 with the improved EGR system from the later BLT engined VRS, yours will remap to about 140 BHP.

Thanks for clearing that up. So really different turbo, injectors and mapping could take it up to nearing 160/170bhp.

Yes, but that's a lot of work and expense, you'd probably need a clutch and flywheel as well, then the brakes and suspension wouldn't be good enough for the extra poke either, just get it remapped for now.

It is I realise, brakes would be uprated when I get it mapped. Thanks for your help, just need to get looking
