Does it really matter, looking at a set of rims 18" × 8, 5 stud 112 but the offset is 47 not 44 is it really going to be a problem. If so any ideas what the biggest limit difference is.

The offset (ET) does matter, however 3mm will make no difference at all. 

 

Make sure the centre bore of the wheels is 57.1mm.
