fabia mk2 rear axle question

does anyone know if a fabia mk1 vrs rear axle will fit my mk2 fabia? its an earlier one early 2008 model and from what i can tell the suspension is still the same as the mk1 as uses the top mounts that bolt to the body on front struts. been offered a mk1 rear axle and front hubs really cheap so would be ideal if it fits so then i can go 312mm brakes and 256mm rear brakes as mine has rubbish brakes
