Karoq spec

Featured Replies

Hey.

Looking at a Karoq to replace the parents Yeti.

So im going through the specs and a heated windsscreen is only on the top model? Something that a 15k fiesta gets.

Also. No petrol 4x4? Thats annoying. Considering DPF’s and all the rest of it, defo dont want a diesel.

What was wrong with the yeti? :D

Not sure about the heated windscreen situation but there is supposed to be a 4x4 1.5 TSI coming later.

Ah, that would be perfect. Cheers for that.

Just found the Heated Screen on the SEL too actually. So its possible on the top two models.

Really do prefer the VAG brands but you have to pay for everything dont you, compared to say a Ford, which comes with so much more as standard.

I asked about the heated windscreen and was told it was to do with the licence and how many they could, in this case the VW group, order under the licence and I suppose and that they had to decide which models get them and those that don't.

Sounds very odd?

Can make or break a deal cant it. Esp if you’re getting older, dont wanna be climbing up to scrape ice off the screen

I think you can select heated windscreen as part of an optional pack (heated screen, washers and possibly seats - seem to remember dealer had to tick three boxes on the configurator)

[EDIT] Just checked the configurator and you can add a heated screen but you also add heated washer jets and you then need to add either the heated front seats or heated front/rear seats

PS Was really impressed with the Traffic Sign Recognition option fitted to the demo car I drove

just use car configuration and see what it lets you too choose and costs rather than guessing/thinking here

What does that do then? Read the signs and act on it?

Not sure of the full list - but it displays things like the speed limit on the main dash-board. It's a cheap option as well

Hmm. Just having a play with the Skoda Karoq Edition Configurator(UK).

Noticed that the “Assistance Package” £350 option has been removed.

I wonder if that means you get everything that was in the pack, except the Adaptive Cruise which is still £150 as standard...

False alarm. Just closed the webpage and started a configuration from scratch and the Assistance Package has reappeared!

Pitty they can’t make those ridiculous rear tables disappear instead ;)

Hi Rifleman

I think they are both still there - they just grey out sometimes if you hit a certain combination of extras - I don't know why

The reason that I know that it is still there is that only this morning I changed my order to delete the Adaptive Cruise (which is £300 on my configurator, not £150) and add the Assistance Package (£350)

I did it because the Assistance Package has two things extra in - only one of which I hope I'm going to need - namely Traffic Jam Assist (ie Crawling along) and Emergency Assist (if you flake out at the wheel)

I was mightily relieved to find out that it had not affected my build date - which remains week 8 - I guess because it is merely coding and not hardware.
