Do not know this one.

http://cazana.com/uk/car/DE11AXD

So do the usual checks.

Service / Warrranty Skoda know, is it a new engine,

Service Campaign done on the DSG etc etc    & Budget for the Water Pump if not done, & Servicing,  so £600.

See what the Skoda Warranty would cost you.

Just put 3 former keepers, and full servicing to get an idea.

Extended Warranty from ŠKODA Insurance – putting ŠKODA into your insurance..mhtml

Obviously they know if a DSG gets a Service Campaign, they pay.

They need to know, they got off with just Service Campaigns because they persuaded VOSA (DVSA now) DfT no Recall required.

So that is a pure lie from who ever.

They know about Warranty Work they pay for, they know if they paid for Oil Consumption Tests, Breather Mods etc, or New Engines.

As to warranty work they should know.

& TPI / Service Campaign / Recall, actions.

Loom, Heated Seats or anything else.

Work done by Franchised dealers like a Water Pump they can say, no idea, but usually an Invoice will stay with the car.

?

Do you need finance & buying at a Dealership?

Maybe some member has a good one they are trading in or have and can point you towards that.

I must warn you again, it is a £5,000 gamble buying one. odds are not 50/50 on getting a good one with a CAVE.

& if you get it wrong and no valid warranty cover you can be looking for a good engine.

Skoda UK Customer Services can say if the DSG Service Campaign '347F' is done or not.

& if any Warranty Work or Engine replaced.

Some say that can not, they need retrained.

http://skoda.co.uk/about-us/contact-us

(maybe they are feed up doing it, well Skoda should have scrapped the Twinchargers they kept in trade and never fixed properly.)

When you see the car look in the spare tyre well see if next to the VIN Sticker there is another with '34F7' on it.

Not all needed it and not all that did have had it.

?

Are the Service Stamps for Skoda Dealerships, all should be done then at least in the first 3 years.

Maybe Breather Mod & Software update if it ever used oil. Or was reported as,

& if main dealer serviced the DSG Service Campaign unless the owner / owners never wanted it done.

Just check other general condition. Good tyres, brakes look OK, look at exhaust back box.

But you will very likely need that Water Pump replaced at the mileage / age.

**

Look for rust at door rubbers at bottom of the glass, front and rear doors,

starting to appear there on some early Mk2 vRS.

Just speak to Customer services that know what they are talking about,  if they can not be bothered ask them to get someone that can be to call you.  Simple as that.

That VIN checker just tells if a Service Campaign / Recall action' is outstanding. or sometimes not even if one is.
