Ignition cutout on 2 .0 tdi deisel

Featured Replies

any body aware of power failure on ignition system whilst driving.

How about a little more information?

Do you mean the car going into low power limp mode due to a fault so you can continue at low speed to a safe stopping place?

That is a design feature.

I mean the car electrics cut out full stop no limp home mode to re start I have to switch of wait a couple of min and re start, this fault dose not log a fault code can any body tell me if the vehicle is fitted with a collision inertia switch as this may have develop an intermittent fault.

I would have thought all vehicles would have that now to stop fuel flow in an accident.
There is another inertia switch that turns cruise control off if it senses the car may have run off the road.
A pothole will activate that one and it is very surprising the first time it happens.

Yes there is one, but I haven't a clue where it is.
And what year is your car?

Thanks to all for the reply's, I need to invest in workshop manual with a good wiring diagram.

Would be good if you said how old the Yeti, how many miles & some story on it.

What happened is safety critical, dangerous to you and others and needs a diagnosis and possible repairs or some remedial actions.

A warranty if there is one, and Skoda Assist could have things being dealt with, do you have a Warranty?

Haynes have not done a manual for the Yeti, and have no plans to do so.

I suspect the market for manuals is dying out as it is so much harder to work on a modern car with its complexity and access to fault records almost essential.

Even simple wiring is a problem as it is all computer controlled these days with wires sending signals instead of just power!

you can actually buy an online manual see  https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz --  cannot remember the cost exactly, but relatively cheap, you will need full cartridges and a good printer with a large supply of paper, and you will eventually have a manual!
