Change to superb

Featured Replies

Hi  guys! I would like to say hello to everybody on this forum cos I’m new here.

I have a question about Skoda superb which I’m planning to buy. Now I’m own Skoda Octavia 2013 elegance but I want to change to superb elegance too but my only worries is about tyre because in elegance wersion they fitted low profile tyre ex 225/40r18 so my question is :

what is like to drive a superb on this tyres cos I don’t want to feel uncomfortable and have a additional road noise like In my Skoda now (225/45r17) . I now the Octavia is not a perfect long distance cruisers so that’s why I would like to change for superb 2014 maybe 2015 . What do you think guys?

Ps. Sorry for my writing I’m not frOm uk that’s why.

thanks very much !!!

looking forward to hear from you!!

Welcome along!  I've had 225/40/18 on my last Superb and they weren't the most comfortable.  I changed to 225/45/18 and that improved things a lot.  Remember the Superb will be a much quieter car than the Octavia anyway, aside from tyre issues.  Tyres and wheels can be changed so I wouldn't let that put you off a Superb.  Does your budget stretch to the new model Superb?  If you could manage it, there is a further notable improvement in refinement and comfort, not that the old Superb wasn't uncomfortable!

Thanks  very much for that info, changing for a higher profile is a good idea actually especially if you said is much quaiter than Octavia.i know and I read a lot of noise in Octavia shame I didn’t read this before buying and when I did the test drive I thought the surface is a bit rough but well is to late now even my previous mondeo was even quieter anyway thanks again. Unfortunately I can’t afford the latest version but I think it will be a lot change anyway ....
