Something has sheared off engine

Featured Replies

Hello All

Hope you can help.

I have a Skoda Octavia Mark 1 Elegance and I noticed a grumbling noise and some steam coming from engine tonight.

When I opened the bonnet I noticed that there is a Black Tube to the left side of the engine which has some kind of sensor attached to the cylinder head.

Consequently the Black tube is rubing against the top belt on the left side of the engine and the piece has sheared off the engine. I'm wondering if I'll need a new cylnder head.

I can take a photo shot if required.

Hope you can help thanks.

Can’t really tell what your on about without a picture I’m afraid.

@Corsair12 - The only uncovered drive belt on any Octavia engine is the auxiliary drive belt, which is on the RH end of the engine. How about you post the photo and actually tell us which engine you have too?
