Ah, yes. The 4x4 has a shallower boot so cant have a flat floor with any spare.

Got there in the end!

Ah, thankyou. This has solved a problem for me

That's what has confused me. I saw a Karoq(4wd) in the showroom with a spacesaver/Canton and the boot floor had a spacer to raise it. The car(2wd) I drove had the inflator kit without a spacer to raise it.  Didn't realise the metal floor heights and wheel wells  were different between the 2wd & 4wd.

Now I realise that on a 2wd with spacesaver there isn't a raised floor or spacer. Will be on my option list

Can I be difficult and ask if either of the spare wheels will raise the boot floor so that its level with the boot lip? (where the metal thing that locks the boot shut).

So that if you put a washing machine in it for example you wouldn't have to lift it up a ledge before being able to get it out.

Edition 1.5TSI spec

Even with the bigger spare wheel (215x60x16) the floor is not quite level with lip
