Peugeot Patner Teepee

Featured Replies

A few years ago I thought about buying a Citroen Multispace for SWMBO to replace her Multipla, but even though there were some stunning cheap pre-owned deals about, we didnt get one because of online reports about the poor quality. Now I have a longterm rental of the Peugeot version, I observe the quality has seriously improved over 2 facelifts. The body and interior seem very well screwed together, there's masses of space especially the height in the cabin. Loads of oddment stowage, and a much better drive than I was expecting with 100bhp Hdi shoving it along - main roads see 50mpg too. I havent yet found a comfortable driving position though, it's fine for the motorway but hard on the knees in town. The seat is very height adjustable but the steering wheel is fixed - maybe I haven't found the right combination yet.  Down sides, it's sensitive to sidewinds (although to be fair it is blowing an absolute gale here every afternoon) and the same plasticky cheap switchgear as the new C3 driven 2 weeks ago. The switch layout is also way less logical than VAG's. It also has the not terribly useful tailgate in a tailgate option. I'd prefer the twin van doors for sure. However, if I needed a family bus, and could find a long-term comfortable solution for the drivers seat, I'd certainly consider one of these, although I think the Citroen badged ones are normally cheaper in the UK.

I currently have a 56 plated Peugeot partner 2.0hdi - private use and a 2017 Partner 1.6 hdi - work use.

Being over 6 foot odd, I really struggle to get the seating to the right place too. I just cannot get the angle right with my ankles/knees being at awkward angles. The seat being restricted by the bulkhead just doesn't go back enough to get the angle right.

Other than that, they both drive really well and return mid 40's mpg.

Hopefully, I'm buying a 2014 Transit connect L2, from work which (having driven them a lot for work) are spaceship like, offering loads of comfy leg room :)
