Fabia vrs 1.4 tsi

Featured Replies

Hi. Was wondering if anyone knows the average life on fabia vrs 1.4 tsi?

Do you mean how long an engine might be reliable for with good oil changed as fixed servicing, and using Super Unleaded fuel?

Anyones guess!

In the UK out of 1,800 CAVE engines over 20% have been rebuilt or replaced,  (that is in Skoda, there are VW, SEAT & Audi over and above)

and some have been good for 100,000 miles plus. Some cars are on their 3rd engine since leaving the factory.

But the Water Pump can need replacing from anything like 35,000 miles / 5 years upwards.

CTHE engines are more reliable, but can have issues, and the Timing Chain is showing more commonly as an issue with them.

there are under 1,100 CTHE engine vRS in the UK, some with new engines.

I had a replacement CTHE engine at 30k. Done 10k and everything is ok so far.
