Problem with gears

Featured Replies

I have an ongoing issue with my Fabia 1.2 tsi 90hp. For some time, when it's fully warmed up, after reversing it gets very hard to pull the gearstick out of reverse. My dealer looked at it and after consulting Skoda, were told to replace several gearbox components. These were supplied as a kit, including gears, bearings and a shaft. The box is now much slicker, but still has the problem. I took it back but it wouldn't replicate the fault! However, it is still doing it. The tech said he examined the clutch, which he said was fine and hasn't a clue what's causing it. Cars done 34000 miles, anyone got any ideas please. It's doing my head in!

Best put in writing that the fault is still there, let the Warranty Provider arrange for your car to be left and a courtesy car provided until

they find someone that can identify the fault and carry out a repair.
