Help with replacing spark plugs

Featured Replies

I was trying to change the spark plugs today on my 1.8Tsi -2015 Octavia.

I loosened it all and removed the ignition coil thinking that the "rubber tube" around it would also be removed with the coil.

The coil was separated from the rubber and i can not get it out. Tried pulling but only broke the rubber a little. Managed to put it back in and mount the coil again.

Anyone got any tips? am i doing it wrong? has it got something to do with the small hole (circled in blue)?

Suggestions?

The problem was sorted when the engine was hot! the rubbe part felt like it had some glue on it almost sticky.

Thanks for all the tips!
