Android Auto and BBC iPlayer Radio

Because I listen to a lot of iPlayer Radio material I usually listen using Android Auto for a seamless connection between car and phone. That was until two days ago when I am suddenly unable to access the iPlayer Radio Download list.

Using the phone I am thrown out of the Android Auto App and back to the phone Home Screen. Using the car infotainment I keep getting looped back to the current iPlayer Download with no chance to access the Download list at all.. There's no problem using iPlayer Radio on my phone as a stand alone App it's just when trying to access iPlayer Radio through Android Auto that the problem occurs, which is annoying because the iPlayer Radio App is only accessible on the car infotainment by using the Android Auto App

Any idea what is causing this to happen? It was all OK on Sunday - nothing installed deleted or updated. Help!

If I uninstall Android Auto and re-install it, it will play perfectly then when I next access it from car or phone it throws me off again.
