Front anti roll bar brushes making noise

Featured Replies

Hey guys I need to get some advice for a warranty claim on skoda. My front suspension has been making a noise whilst the car is underload (driving over a speed ramp) I've took the car to my local WV specialist who's diagnosed the fault and had added some lubrication which made the noise go away for a bit. Now it's came back so I've got it booked in at the skoda dealership I brought the car from abiet 120 miles away from me with a rental booking in the next few days.

As I've never had a warranty claim before my car is a 15 plate with about 36000 miles.

The garage will charge me I think around half an hours labour to diagnose the issue if it's deemed out of warranty but I thought to ask what are the chances of it being rejected?

Thanks Leprejohn

They never diagnosed a fault, just the source of the noise.

The diagnosis you are paying for will be what is wrong, are bushes split, faulty prematurely and does the Technician believe he or she support a Warranty Claim

because the wear or any failure is premature.

The Warranty Manager has to agree to the Warranty Claim and no cost to you.

The Dealership can check if any TPI's, Service Action notices.

They can also report to Skoda UK / CZ what that have diagnosed as the cause of the noise.

All you can do is ask for them to make the car fit for purpose in the Manufacturers Warranty period,

someone might try saying that 6 months / 6,500 miles has past and it is an external environmental issue.

But then cars are designed to drive on roads not sit in showrooms or garages.

good luck.

Had a similar problem with my old 55 plate Skoda diesel estate while it was still under warranty at about the 2.5 year mark went over a bump and got a loud clunk  from the front end. From past experience on a different car I new it was a bushes problem took the car in they confirmed the problem and fixed it free of charge Joe
