My mrs fabia 1.4 petrol has been sat for a few weeks went to open a window and they won’t open can’t hear the motor operating. Checked all the fuses they’re fine. Any advice would be appreciated thanks in advance

Switches probably if not fuses. Mine gone too

Thanks GingerBen I don’t think it’s the switches because both arnt working. More than likely a wire or a bcm

Would be multiple wires wouldn’t it as each switch has two?

Fabia's (And many VW branded vehicles) Suffer from wires snapping inside the bellows of the doors. Checking they are all intact is usually the first port of call as its an easy fix. Have a good look at both drivers and passengers side doors. You will need to pry the lever and push back the the bellow and really look in there as they can be quite tricky to spot so check each wire carefully. In the cold weather, I guess they stiffen and snap even easier!

Adding on from what MRGF says, check your electric mirrors.  My brothers A3 mirrors went first and when he took apart the door join gaiter he could see everything else was about to be severed as well!
