I am in the process of changing my interior lights to LED. 

 

I just have the glove box one to do but I can't figure out how it comes out to get to the bulb??

 

Is it a glove box removal job?

 

Or can someone please advise on a simple way without breaking it in the process.

does something need inserting at one end or the other for it to come out?

Probably used a flathead screwdriver to prise it out.

You need to lever it out from the top. The light unit has a slot at the bottom which sits onto the side of the glove box then has tapered clips on the top which pushes in. So if your trying to lever it from the bottom it'll most likely break. Once so far out undo the connector. I had a bit of bother with mine a while ago. I noticed the light staying on when the lid was closed. It's basically a rocker type switch and touches a metal tab when open but for some reason the raised lobe on the box lid wouldn't push it far enough to make a contact. A modification with a threaded bolt through the plastic switch sorted it out. Anyhoo!!

No problem, will attempt this during the week. Was just really wary of forcing anything and breaking it. Lol. Thanks again.
