Races abandoned.

Shame on Silverstone for having the track resurfaced and a dangerous track profile produced which does not drain safely.  Not good for British competency flag waving.  Happened to Sepang a few year back so should have learned the lessons.  No excuse for such profile errors which road engineers have to consider just like race tracks.  Blaming not dry summer a cop out.

Mend quickly Rabat.

Why didn't the riders run round the track for points, would have been fun

That's very low.   Using the tragic demise of a young rider as an opportunity to spout off your sly anti-Hamilton propaganda.   Shocking. Even beyond what I would expect from some

Marquez should had had a black flag for the grid infringement in my book, but his riding afterward. Oh dear, he has always been over agressive but really, he indirectly ruined Dani's race and Vales fo

Quad racing would have been good.

Rossi is brilliant on four wheels too i recall on seeing him on a WRC event in Wales.

Maybe a race track by Exeter Airport might be better, better weather, rainfall not too bad and lots of visitors around anyways this time of year.

It's been throwing it done every day bar one (Friday) in Devon for the past week, so "rainfall not too bad" isn't true this year. And maybe not most years, the West Country has always been called the Wet Country in my family...

Plus the M5 between Bristol and Exeter in the Summer can be a total car park, we had to abandon an attempt to get to Newton Abbot 2 weeks ago after sitting stationary on the M5 near junction 30 for nearly an hour - extra traffic from a race track would cause even more problems.

My vote is for Brands Hatch long course...

Pal's hubby got Silverstone MotoGP as his 40th birthday present. Drove for 8hr to get there saw Friday practice and Saturday qualifying then the race was abandoned. 5hr into the drive home his car broke down and he was 3hr waiting on the RAC.

Will they get any money back for the race being cancelled?

Depends which part of Devon, big county.  Exitar, Exmuff has half the rainfall of the West side of the more........

M5 needs smart motorway'ing like rest of motorway nextwork.  Nice to get off the Emmett and Grockel blocked M5 and go down the A roads sometimes.

Mind you Google app took me across Dartmoor and I went down some very narrow roads over Dartmoor, climbed to around 1200 feet, went past Dartmoor prison and got passed some looney local doing 60 plus between the sheep and horses.

Some of the locals seem to think that the faster they go the less likely they are to have an accident, but some others think that if they do more than 20mph their bodies will disintegrate!

Why did God make sheep fog coloured?

Tito do already on his feet after his weekend's triple leg break!

Well done Can Oncu, winner of the Valencia Moto3 race at 15 years old.  Riding a 150 mph bike in the wet against the world's best Moto3 riders.

Well done John McPhee too for the third place and Jorge Martin for 2nd and the championship.

Great year for records with the first female world champion (Ana C in WSSport 300).  Great year for big hair reminding us of Marco S.

HRC MotoGP boss disses Pedrosa, Rossi.

In an interview last week Antonio Puig attacked ex protege Danny, basically calling him out for just going through the motions for the last few years and not being motivated enough or talented enough. Harsh? He also then laid into Rossi, labelling him past it and unable to accept his time is over. It seems like his theme was to big up Marquez but I can't believe Marc needs this sort of help. Surely the prospect of finishing Lorenzo's career off must be enough for him?

Rossi and Lorenzo have to run in Q1 due to missing top 10.

Poor showing by Rossi when all the other Yams did do well ie Vinales on poll and Petronas Yamaha looking on.

Lewis Hamilton there is the Petronas pits before heading out to Oz.

LH did some intensive riding with the Lowes Brothers, he hated being six seconds a lap slower than them but everyone was impressed with his determination.

Rossi to get a go in the Mercedes F1 car later.

Mav on pole. Marq had to join the caravan club to get 3rd (naive of Petrucci to tow Marquez to the front row I think).

Lorenzo, Rossi out in Q1.

With Mav being some 16 km/hr slower on the straights his lap time needs a good study from Rossi.

Some heavy falls for Lorenzo and some others.

Well that was fun. Dovi set such a slow pace it looked like we have 4 competitive factory teams? Well done to Cal - great result after his troubled winter.

Unbelievable, after the farcical formula e protests post race, now the Qatar protest against the Moto GP winner has gone to appeal. First big weekend of motorsports this year and the results are decided hours or days after the race. Utter rubbish. Sort the rules out.

Odd race.

Quartararo was awesome after starting from the pit lane doing laps much faster than leaders.

Vinales still having problems with first laps and only coming good near end of the race.  Well done Rossi and Morbidelli.

Yamaha did not protest but other 4 did ie Aprilia, Honda, KTM, Suzuki, better to copy it than ban it if it works.

Moto-E fleet destroyed in Jerez fIre.

The electric support series for MotoGP was having a mass test at Jerez. All the bikes were stored in a common location overnight. Bikes, team kit and tools, riders kit all gone.

Unlikely round one of the series will take place with too little time to build a new fleet of bikes.

What's he done now? Anything more bone-headed than crashing under waved yellows in free practice?

He had a 4 second lead and then just lost the front end, struggled to pick the bike up and t restart it.

Although I am a massive Yamaha fan I was please to see Suzuki win or anyone but Honda.

Have had a few Hondas ie MBX 80 (80 mph from 79 cc) and a CB500 ABS for commuting I find Honda arrogant and love to see underdogs knock Honda off their perch.

Also likewise, with the note that I dislike Marquez for reason stated.
