CRANK SENSOR LOCATION YETI 2.0

Featured Replies

Any advice on replacing crank sensor on 2.0 tdi YETI Engine code CEGA ???  Is this the engine where you remove the oil filter and the sensor is behind that, and then it's just a matter of unbolting the old sensor and bolting in a new one?  I understand that on some 2.0 engines, removal of the gearbox is the only option ?  Can't see any videos on youtube about it, apart from on an old VW 2.0 Golf. Problem is definitely crank sensor, had a diagnostic check.  Anyone??? Any advice would  be greatly appreciated

I think you can get to it using a long 4 mm allen T bar. Don't know whereabouts it is on the engine. Not seen it done myself so cant be 100% sure.

Is the crank sensor faulty or could it be a carboned up throttle, a known fault on this model.

Diagnostics came up with G60 crank/speed sensor malfunction.  Can't start the car when the engine is warm. Starts when cold first time.
