Anyone know what the alarm door led flashes signifies??

Featured Replies

The snow and cold weather finally killed my battery so a new one's on order later today but I noticed the red led in the door flashes 7 times when I lock the car at the mo. Does anyone have 'da knowledge' as to what number of flashes refers to what issue or significance, not with just this number but any number of flashes so this can be used as a reference for others? What's it trying to tell me?

No idea what it's telling you but mine also flashes 7 times when car is locked so probably normal.

Unlock car wind drivers window down enough to enable you to put your arm through, lock car wait for led on door to stop flashing, alarm is now armed.

put arm through open window and alarm should activate.

unlock with key fob and alarm will stop.

You now know everything works as it should.

It's in the owner's manual, the way it flashes indicates if there is a fault.

Yeah, first place I looked (those who know me on here know it annoys the hell out of me when people don't do that first!!), but I couldn't find it from anything obvious, at least what i thought obvious. So what page is it on MicMac???

MicMac???

Sorry about the delay, got other priorities.

I'll nip out to the car later and you'll have a response by morning.

In my owner's manual it gives details on page 46 central locking system.

You must have a different manual cos there's absolutely nothing about it 5 pages either side of the central locking bit or page 46 in mine.

Severn flashes is the NORMAL amount when everything is working correctly. Other information is indicated by the length of time between single flashes once it has locked.

cheers guys. Odd that one book says that and another doesn't.

When I bought my Scout brand new, rather than issuing  me with the latest handbook, there was a separate supplement stuck inside it with all the latest updates and changes.
