Skoda Kodiaq Window Sun Shades

Featured Replies

At £230 the 'Childrens Pack' with the retractable blinds on the rear passenger doors was a tad expensive.

On our Octavia and Superb I have these fitted, I see they've now released a set for the Kodiaq.

They've been great on our current cars as they allow the windows to be opened with the blinds in situ so I'll be ordering some up for the Kodiaq...

It's a shame the rear / boot window blind is in two parts though. It' the same on my Superb and you get used to it in the rear view mirror but it would be better if it was one piece...

Cheaper still on eBay...

I use a combination of Vanstyle sunblinds for the side windows and the Škoda one piece rear sunblind (the Vanstyle is two piece) on my Octavia Scout.

I could not get used to the two piece, plus it would prevent me from having my dashcam centrally mounted.

Hopefully Skoda may get around to releasing their own version too, then, as you say, they might have a one-piece rear screen.

I have the same as you on my current Octavia estate, it's one piece but doesn't fit very well. I wonder if this is the reason they tend to supply them in two pieces...

No issues with the Škoda one piece.

I used to remove it when Hadley was not in the boot so that I could get better images from the dashcam, it also gets removed almost weekly when cleaning the interior, and it just slots straight back in.

At the price it was (cannot remember, but it was more expensive than the five window Vanstyle)  , I would expect so.

Perhaps mine isn't genuine Skoda then. The side window blinds came with sprung metal clips that slide under the window seals, these work great, however the rear (boot) side windows and rear (boot lid) window came with plastic clips with 3M tape, the idea being they stuck to the glass, but they simply aren't strong enough.

Do you have any pictures of the rear window fitting?

I only paid £180 for the children’s pack with the remote child lock buttons and rear blinds. I believe the blinds on there own are £205. I’ve got genuine Skoda blinds on my Yeti and they are much better quality than the Vansyle ones.

You insert the blind over the wiper motor housing first, then tuck the top of the blind under these two metal springs/tabs:

Ah, the metal clips look a better solution.

Where your clips are is where I have a gap!
