I have looked and tried everything unless I'm missing something obvious my location is wrong by around 5 miles I have my sim card connected so it has the internet and as soon as I put my location in it just reverts back to St Helens when I live In Wigan? I know it's trivial but it's annoying lol I do hope someone can sort it.

Looking at the map in the car, it would appear that the weather data is coming from MeteoGroup. You might have heard of them recently - they're the ones that have replaced the beloved (!?) Met Office as the weather provider for the BBC.

 

Anyway, a quick search on the BBC weather website for Wigan returns "Wigan, Wigan" as the option to select below the search box. However... when I do, it presents me with the weather for Ince-in-Makerfield. This is still not Wigan, but it is a damn sight closer than St Helens. So, in my opinion, it points at an issue / gap in the data that MeteoGroup provide, in which case there is absolutely nothing you or Skoda can do about it apart from report it to MeteoGroup.

 

If I could find another publicly accessible service that uses MeteoGroup data, I'd try there and see if it gave the same results, but I can't.
