Columbus RNS 510 splash screen (boot logo)

Featured Replies

I was going to install a custom splash screen for my RNS 510. The install process was going like normaly, but now i dont have any splash screen (boot logo) at all, it's just black when it starts up.

Have someone have a similar problem? hard to fix?

I burned the ISO file to a DVD+R disk on lowest speed.

This isn't uncommon. I don't understand why people try and do it, because it's a great source of failure.

Anyway, possible fix is to reload the original software, but unfortunately the process of trying to install the boot logo may have corrupted the system and it could kill the unit. Either leave it as is and don't worry about no boot logo, or try and reload the software and hope it doesn't kill it.

ohh :o

i have the software version 5238 right now, and i have a newer version that i'm planning to install, it is software version 5274, do you think that could work?

I'd stick with 5238. Nothing much any better for you really. Most software downloads are "modified" in some way, and 5238 has proved to be the most stable in my experience.
