I have a Karoq 1.5tsi SE L DSG on order. Could a Karoq owner with a similar spec answer a question please- can the front parking sensors be switched on manually when needed, eg driving forward when parking. This is how they work on my present car a Kia Sportage. Thanks

Still waiting for our car but according to the manual, they are switchable...

All those months ago in my test drive the dealer turned the front sensors off. This was so that the physical temporary number plate didn’t set off the emergency break. 

You can switch them on manually via button on front console. They also turn on automatically when driving forwards at very slow speeds so i have not found any reason to use the manual button so far.
