Recently purchased a Superb 2.0TDi CR SE Business DSG.  Seems to be great car for the money.  Some people think I am mad for buying a diesel at this juncture but I am hoping the government will leave us alone for a few years anyway.  Only used quarter of a tank so far but it is reporting good economy on my daily commutes.  

 

Car is definitely a class above other family saloons available for the same money.

 

I previously used (and still own) a Toyota Avensis 2.2 D4D which provided six years of very reliable motoring.  Local taxi rank is full of Toyotas and Skodas so hope I have made the right choice of manufacturers.

Sounds like a good choice you've made, yes, saw plenty of Superb taxis in Lisbon this time last year (black with fantasy green roofs), and usually lots of white Octavia taxis when we've visited Whitby, also plenty Skoda taxis near me in Leeds.

It might be worth adding the model or build year into your "signature/profile" thingy, helps other members to help you if/when you are asking for advice or help.
