Skoda superb mk2

Featured Replies

I have a question about my recent purchase. I have a 2010 superb 1.9 diesel which is a taxi. When I turn my ignition on bother rev and speedo needles dance to the top and back. Any advice why this happens. Many thanks in advance. Leon.

Sounds like someone has enabled 'staging' which is also known as 'needle sweep'.

Nothing to worry about and is normal assuming the above is correct.

It might suggest that other VCDS tweaks have been made but it's impossible to say without scanning the car and comparing it to stock vehicles.

Depending on the trim level some Superb’s came from the factory with ‘staging’ (needle sweep)

Both my mk II's a 2010 and 2014 did this, I think it's pretty cool!
