Good morning

Featured Replies

For practical reasons I find myself having to do away with a two seater and getting something completely different. Based on experiences with Skoda through work I have plumped for a Roomster Scout 1.9 diesel...a little belter at 10 yrs old, 50k, FSH, full panorama roof, extra set of wheels with winter tyres, and very well looked after vehicle that belies it's age. Not sure what help/advice I may be able to offer related to any posted topics as car practicalities not high on my skill set so I will probably take more than I give...but let's see. Having had the car for week or so initial impressions very good and looking forward to continuing my positive experiences of Skoda.

Welcome along :hi:.  What was your two seater?

Just a Peugeot 206...nominally a four seater but in reality just for two. Prior to that had a gem of a Saab 93 convertible top spec. My driving policy was 'no rain-no roof'.However, as parents get older I need something they can both get in when I visit...but happy with the Roomster. The full glass roof is a perfect compromise.

Hello Nicbrin and family welcome along to the Skoda forum good to have you with us.:hi:

Hello Nicbrin and welcome to Briskoda,

Mosey on over to the Roomster section, plenty of useful stuff and helpful fellow owners!

It's also sometimes worth a look in the Mk2 Fabias section, as the Roomster front half is basically from that car, with an Octavia rear suspension/axle, and purpose made MPV/van rear body.

Am about 20miles from you, mine is nearly 11yrs old, c90k miles, same engine & transmission, non-scout spec and 195/55R15 tyres, currently winters. wondering when to swap back to the Goodyear summers....

Mine is steel roof, roof rails, bought it used in autumn 2013, came with a pair of roof bars and towing gear, not used either.

Enjoy Roomster ownership, I usually give fellow Roomster drivers a cheery wave or thumb up, as these cars are kind of an endangered species, production having ended, and a proposed replacement having been shelved (prototypes looked like a Caddy Maxi with a Skoda front grafted on).

Richard.

Just swapped back to summer tyres this morning...in fact had brand new set fitted on to the alloys which are 205/45r16s so ride has changed subtly. Not sure if able to post in other topic areas yet but have issue now with tyre pressure light on but based on what I have gleaned so far it seems an inconvenience rather than a problem.
