1.5 TSI SE Technology. So who has got their park and flash working?  I've tried through Skoda Connect and My Skoda app (which I cannot connect vehicle to) In Skoda Connect only Trip Planner and Settings icons appear

It's a facility in the Karoq to determine where your car is in say a big car park and using your smartphone make the car flash lights and sound hooter. It should also show on phone where car is. Supposed to be in the Skoda Connect app.

Did you pay the extra for Skoda connect? It comes at part of that, not as standard, I think

Far as I am aware it is all free for the 1st year when Skoda Connect is registered.

I think Infotainment is free for a year, then 70 Euros per year

Skoda connect is FOC for 14 years for the Proactive bit, FOC for 3 years for the remote bit  -  BUT, as I understand it, you have to have shelled out £400 to have the little buttons in the roof  - otherwise you can't honk and flash!

 

The Superb and the Kodiaq have the connect bit fitted as standard, but it is only FOC for 1 year I was told

Cheers Boiledbeef. So you do not get park and honk or car data unless the 3 year option is purchased. I have managed to get the My Skoda app working. It does have a parking assist that gives a sat nav location of where car is. Also gives a full owners handbook.

I've been trying for a week to connect to car to my phone's hot spot no  luck .live managed to register the password  for connect but will not connect to hotspot. I've given up as it doesn't seem to do anything anyway.

With Skoda Connect I connected through the WLAN on driveway at home. I followed the instructions on the Skoda website but I'm sure it was not that straight forward. I just cannot remember what I did exactly! The same with the My Skoda app today would not connect. I tried hotspot and tethering but went back to WLAN as a new connection and it connected.

The My Skoda app also needs the Smartgate app as well to initially connect. It all seems unnecissarily confusing.

It would need an internet connection and if you have the standard Amundsen system that's in the SE tech spec like I have then there's no SIM card slot for 4G so you have to connect to a wireless hotspot

Just tested and car doesn't seem to stay connected to mobile hotspot after ignition is turned off so doubt any of the remote Skoda connect functions will work with the SE tech.

I could not get hotspot to work either. Bit disapointed though. At least the MySkoda app gives location of car where it is parked.
