mk1 vrs 1.8t cd player

Featured Replies

Hi. I have a similar problem with the cd changer on my  2003 1u2. I have bought radio removal pins for the head unit twice, but NONE fit the radio/TAPE player inside the cabin. Was wondering if the radio/tape player is a standard factory fit. The unit has "Skoda Auto" on it. Tks in anticipation.

@olrig "Skoda Auto Symphony"? If so, then yes that's the standard head for 2002 and '03 cars; the CD stacker is in the LHR side of the boot, between the arch and the tail light, and just above the rear washer pipe (first place to look if you have an issue with the stacker rather than starting an upgrade).

Hi, the removal pins you need are the same for a kenwood/jvc unit, if you buy a jvc head unit it already comes with these keys,

I bought a jvc kd-r881bt head unit from Halfords, and I didn't need the adaptor cable, its a straight swop, you just have the swap the red and yellow cables over, it tells you in the instructions, and has allowed this swop in the loom.
