Which budget diagnostics reader works with 1.6tdi 60 plate?

Hi, posted the question in the diagnostics forum but nobody could help. Anyone here got a budget code reader that works with their Octavia Mk 2 1.6tdi. Mine is a 60 plate. I bought the Vgate VS450 scanner recommended by others on this forum but get a Link Error when I plug it in on the VW/Audi setting. It reads the engine in regular OBD2 setting but when I switch to VW I get the error message.

Anybody got a budget VAG scanner that works with this model? Thanks.

Hi all, recently bought a 2016 Fabia 1.2tsi with 1 key and it's the push button start, had 2 mobile locksmiths out and both have the same problem, they can cut and programme the keys so it locks and unlocks and will start the car but the new key they cut will only start the car if held right up to the button and then you get the dreaded "key not found" warning and noise,the original key works fine so I can't see that it's a car fault and I can put up with holding the spare key up to the switch a

2008 Octy 1.9Tdi PD 1Z5 BXE oil leak. I've removed the plastic pan, cleaned everything up and inspected for wet areas. The leak doesn't appear to come from the rear or bottom of the engine, or from the left hand side of the engine (fuel filter side). The tandem pump at the top doesn't appear to be wet. The leak appears to be higher up the engine and just below the oil filter housing where it does seem quite wet. The oil filter housing isn't leaking (from the top, at least). I know how diff

Front assist on my 2020 dsg sel superb works sometimes. I've cleaned the sensor area and the top of the windscreen as I believe there is a camera that the front assist uses. Means auto cruise control won't work. Any ideas?

Hi. I've just had the touchscreen replaced and happy to say everything is all working again with the exception of the clock which is stuck at 12:00. The second hand is still working though. The time on the dashboard behind the steering wheel is working fine and can be adjusted. Can anyone please advise me ho to adjust the clock on the touchscreen when it is in standby mode? Many thanks.

Hi all, Working today on a friends 2001 Octavia. Problem was the accelerator stopped working, there is no response at all when the accelerator is pressed no revs etc and EPC light on. He updated he has had a new throttle body sensor and accelerator pedal unit fitted but this made no change. The car starts and is good condition for the age. SO I scanned it with VCDS Lite full prog and re set the throttle (unit 060 on vcds) so its correct, We also replaced the accelerator
