not starting issue fix

Hi all,

Stopped on a journey yesterday to have a drink and something to eat in the car, went to drive off and the car wouldn't start, fired up then cut out with a loud knocking sound under the bonnet.

Called out skoda breakdown assistance, VAG engineer couldn't make it out no faults recorded, no messages, then inspiration, he asked had I left the car and come back to it? answer no. He then locked the car then unlocked it and then it started straight away, the car was not recognising the key and the imoboliser was kicking in, the knocking was the dual mass fly wheel stopping the engine from starting.

I hope this helps anyone else who has this happen.
