Romanv's positive videos

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I've notices that most of the YouTube viewers watched my I-DON'T-LIKE video (should I blame YouTube that put that video on the top of the search list?!?) and therefore have started to think that I don't like my bear.

Well, they are wrong!!! I love my beast and I would choose it again. B)

I've already put 68 videos on my channel (check Roman Verhovsek with Skoda Kodiaq) and most of them are very positive. I am already planning on next two WHAT-I-LIKE videos (all scenes are already shot).

I am asking you to at least watch few of those videos below and then judge me because one video is not enough to judge the artist ;):

Why would I want to watch some amateur video clips?????????

It’s  just a car FFS.

I have one so I can go and look at it any time I want.

Thanks for the video's Roman, I've seen a few of them and enjoyed watching them.

For those of us who haven't yet received their Kodiaq's they've been interesting and informative.

Thanks from me also Roman, kept me interested and gave useful information while waiting for my Karoq to arrive.  :biggrin:

Roman - in one of the videos you said you would order the Kodiaq again "but probably with less options".

Which are the options that you would probably not order again?

Media command, tablet holders, rough road package, washable headlamps, Columbus (would be replaced with Amundsen), partition net, folding tables.

Curious, why?

Can't answer for Roman, but I'm still undecided on whether I like it or not.

Good things - Big screen (that looks fantastic), no knobs (looks cleaner, more modern), hard drive-based nav (no SD card)

Bad things - Switching between functions is a pain because it has no function buttons (nav, media, etc.). Really, that's pretty much the only bad thing, but it is annoying me intensely.

Don't get me wrong - it's a fantastic unit, and it's so much improved from the Columbus unit I had in my 2014 Octavia. The resolution and quality of the screen (and the MFD in the dashboard) is awesome. It just needs those function buttons to be able to quickly (and safely!) switch between things whilst you're driving. And no, voice control is not the answer to that! Having used it for 6 weeks now, I'm not sure I would add it as an option to a car, but as it came as standard on the 'Edition' trim, I'm not going to complain too loudly.

Agree the voice control is hit and miss. Some days it likes me and others it plays dum and dim. Love the quality of the screen, but it really needs those buttons for Nav, media, phone etc.

The problem is in pricing. It costs 1100 eur more than Amundsen. I don't use Google Earth sat view, 3d view, Amundsen still has large 8" display,...

The only thing that Columbus is better than Amundsen is the LTE module. No pairing needed when drivers are switching. Sooo cool! But 1100 eur for a LTE modem? Geee!!!

And regarding the online updates: impossible when new map is 29.5 GB large!!!
