  1. I use 'Granny charging' at home as I have not yet invested in a home charging point. I want to get Christmas over with then will invest in one. A 3 pin plug will change an EV but very slowly, thats why a charge point is quicker but not much as the Skodas and many others charge at a silly low rate for some reason, maybe its to keep the batteries in 'tiptop' condition. Constant rapid charging do not do rechargeable batteries any good, a slower charge is always better. Hope this helps. Oh, anf I can charge to 100% when full.

Have you contacted Ovo to see if they can help?
  3. Thanks toot, I'll go and have a look. 😀
  4. I've just put a deposit on a nearly new Octavia from my local Skoda dealership.............it's a 1.5 TSi iV DSG. As this is the first time I've dipped my toe in the EV automarket, I was wondering if someone might know the answers to a couple of questions I have. 1. I want to invest in a 7Kw wall mounted charger, what are the advantages/disadvantages of tethered chargers with untethered chargers?? 2. Should I get a charger with an earth rod or one without? Again........pros and cons of each option. Thanks for reading this. Macdemon
  5. At what sort of speeds does problem manifest itself?
  6. WOW..........thats impressive to say the least. Good result there Jordan.
  7. WOW......its good to have a healthy, friendly discussion sometimes. Ive just filled up and had an improvement on my MPG in the first posting.............
  8. I think this is pretty good for a 1.5TSi DSG engine ……,
  9. I love listening to Gold and Heart 80s' and neither of those station idents are in the list Thank you 1982 for your reply.
  10. I'd like to know how you got the radio station idents on the display??? I cant seem fto find any way of adding them.
  11. Amazing car, not too keen in the digital dash, I prefer the old fashioned dials. Car is VERY comfy and quiet but not as well finished as my old Karoq which I think was 'more solid' as a car with thicker body panels. As the Kamiq is lighter than the karoQ, I'm getting a better range on MPG from Gatwick to Brighton & Hove each day. As this car was already built and 'spec'd up' it did not have all the bells and whistles I wanted, but as they say, beggars can't be choosers. Very nice car for the money, and I'm glad I chose it too. Please let us know when you pick yours up. . This is mine in race blue....
  12. I'm trying the 'sporty' display for a while and so far my Kamiq has not defaulted to the 'classic' view. At 5 weeks old, I've now covered 1507 miles
  13. I believe there is an issue with the Amundsen infotainment system as far as adding radio station logos. In the radio section there is an option to import logos from a UK database of radio stations, the problem I'm having is that the four radio stations I have saved do not have logos in this database. Gold Radio, Heart 70s, Heart 80s and LBC. I have been onto the internet and saved the logos onto a memory stick formatted to FAT32 as per the owners manual, and I have plugged this memory stick into the USB-C socket by the gear lever and the car is able to see the image files and display the logos on the screen so no problems there. There IS however a problem trying to import these in order for the image files to be 'attached' to the saved stations in question. I have spent a significant amount of time searching the menu system in order to locate how or where these logos can be imported into the infotainment system, but no such option is available. I have contacted my dealer and he's looking into this for me, and a call to Skoda UK was a waste of time and effort as the lady I spoke to just kept asking me to get the head unit to display the radio station frequency and press on that to add the logo but there is no option to display the frequency at all. I think this is just limited to the Amundsen system, as someone with a Bolero unit has successfully managed to accomplish this task. Is anyone else having the same issues with their Skoda and the Amundsen infotainment system??

  15. I'm waiting for Skoda UK to get their finger out. When we're due to change the car again in about 4 years time we will go to Toyota
  16. Thank you, how do I get to the screen you're showing me? There didn't appear to be a second page on my system, and I think I have the Amundsman unit.
  17. Hi Zoharin, here is the info from my Kamiq....... IMG_5004.HEIC
  18. Hi guys, I'm from the 'Kamiq' section and we're experiencing the same issues trying to import station logos. I have contacted my dealer and he's looking into it, and I have also phoned Skoda UK who were no help whatsoever. I used to have a 2018 Karoq and that was simple and easy to do after looking around the menu options in the infotainment system, but after spending sometime on me infotainment system in my Kamiq, there doesn't seem to be any way at all. I will try to gauge how many people are affected by this issue in other groups, and together we will unite and force Skoda UK to sort out a software update for our appropriate infotainment systems. Please see the thread developing in the Kamiq section HERE.
  19. Called the dealer this afternoon where I purchased the car, and he's unsure as well but will continue to make enquiries. I have called Skoda UK and she was unable to help, asking me to press and hold the radio 'frequency and import the logos, but the infotainment system does not display a frequency. She suggested I I go to a Skoda retailer to look into the issue but I can see me turning up at my nearest dealer only to be told 'go back to the dealer you purchased the car from'. The logos are on a memory stick formatted to FAT32 and I can view the images on my infotainment screen but there is not an option to import them into the appropriate radio station, I have even tried BOTH USB-C slots on the car thinking there may be the option in USB 1 and not USB 2 but it makes no difference whatsoever. Does anyone else have any suggestions, or has had success maybe?? The saga continues.......................... Talk about stupidity. This problem is now starting to annoy me.
  20. I will email my dealer tomorrow morning for further advice.
  21. Yes, there is no 'option' to 'ad station logos' at all.
