  1. Don't go Expatman, you can still be part of the forum here and I'm sure I speak for everyone here in saying you're correct, the Yeti was just THE BEST.
  2. You need to do a new search for DAB stations and then pick it from the updated list, it won't add it automatically.
  3. You should be able to add stations by selecting the 'favourites' button indicated by a star. And the infotainment system should remember then whenever you start the car again. It's just a case of sitting in the car and 'playing about with things' until you can work out how the system works. That's what I did.
  4. Hi Genesis Which EV home charger do you have please? I'm with OE too and on the same tariff as you.
  5. I’m having lots of issues with my Ohme charger I had fitted at the end of Jan ‘24. it is constantly going offline and not charging my Octavia hybrid. Does this sound familiar??!
  6. I use 'Granny charging' at home as I have not yet invested in a home charging point. I want to get Christmas over with then will invest in one. A 3 pin plug will change an EV but very slowly, thats why a charge point is quicker but not much as the Skodas and many others charge at a silly low rate for some reason, maybe its to keep the batteries in 'tiptop' condition. Constant rapid charging do not do rechargeable batteries any good, a slower charge is always better. Hope this helps. Oh, anf I can charge to 100% when full.

Have you contacted Ovo to see if they can help?
  8. Thanks toot, I'll go and have a look. 😀
  9. I've just put a deposit on a nearly new Octavia from my local Skoda dealership.............it's a 1.5 TSi iV DSG. As this is the first time I've dipped my toe in the EV automarket, I was wondering if someone might know the answers to a couple of questions I have. 1. I want to invest in a 7Kw wall mounted charger, what are the advantages/disadvantages of tethered chargers with untethered chargers?? 2. Should I get a charger with an earth rod or one without? Again........pros and cons of each option. Thanks for reading this. Macdemon
  10. At what sort of speeds does problem manifest itself?

  13. WOW......its good to have a healthy, friendly discussion sometimes. Ive just filled up and had an improvement on my MPG in the first posting.............
  14. I think this is pretty good for a 1.5TSi DSG engine ……,
  15. I love listening to Gold and Heart 80s' and neither of those station idents are in the list Thank you 1982 for your reply.

Amazing car, not too keen in the digital dash, I prefer the old fashioned dials. Car is VERY comfy and quiet but not as well finished as my old Karoq which I think was 'more solid' as a car with thicker body panels. As the Kamiq is lighter than the karoQ, I'm getting a better range on MPG from Gatwick to Brighton & Hove each day. As this car was already built and 'spec'd up' it did not have all the bells and whistles I wanted, but as they say, beggars can't be choosers. Very nice car for the money, and I'm glad I chose it too. Please let us know when you pick yours up. . This is mine in race blue....

I'm trying the 'sporty' display for a while and so far my Kamiq has not defaulted to the 'classic' view. At 5 weeks old, I've now covered 1507 miles
  19. I believe there is an issue with the Amundsen infotainment system as far as adding radio station logos. In the radio section there is an option to import logos from a UK database of radio stations, the problem I'm having is that the four radio stations I have saved do not have logos in this database. Gold Radio, Heart 70s, Heart 80s and LBC. I have been onto the internet and saved the logos onto a memory stick formatted to FAT32 as per the owners manual, and I have plugged this memory stick into the USB-C socket by the gear lever and the car is able to see the image files and display the logos on the screen so no problems there. There IS however a problem trying to import these in order for the image files to be 'attached' to the saved stations in question. I have spent a significant amount of time searching the menu system in order to locate how or where these logos can be imported into the infotainment system, but no such option is available. I have contacted my dealer and he's looking into this for me, and a call to Skoda UK was a waste of time and effort as the lady I spoke to just kept asking me to get the head unit to display the radio station frequency and press on that to add the logo but there is no option to display the frequency at all. I think this is just limited to the Amundsen system, as someone with a Bolero unit has successfully managed to accomplish this task. Is anyone else having the same issues with their Skoda and the Amundsen infotainment system??

  21. I'm waiting for Skoda UK to get their finger out. When we're due to change the car again in about 4 years time we will go to Toyota
  22. Thank you, how do I get to the screen you're showing me? There didn't appear to be a second page on my system, and I think I have the Amundsman unit.
