exessive brake pedal travel

Featured Replies

Just collected a Y reg 1.9tdi today ( low mileage 34000) one owner from new, had a test drive last weekend and commented on the amount of brake pedal travel, sales man assured me that the car would be fully serviced and any faults rectified.(skoda main dealer).

Anyway, on our way home, i noticed that on first application of the brakes the pedal, went nearly to the floor, a second application improved the pedal action, as did the third. I phoned the dealer when we got home, to be told there all like that, and it was normal. makes me wonder whether it actually did get a service and not just an oil change, i bought from a main dealer for peace of mind!!!!!.

anybody had simliar brake problems.

regards

kevin
