DRL Fault

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I've got a problem with my 2012 Greenline LH Daytime Driving Light and would be grateful for any clues on how to fix it. It started out last winter as an intermittent problem (indicated by the orange dashboard warning light), got more frequent, now it's constant with the warning light now permanently on.

Firstly tried new bulb, switching bulbs (with working RH DRL), checked every single fuse, etc., with no joy. All bulbs in car are standard (no LED's) and all are working except LH DRL. Checked bulb connector with multi-meter and there's no power feed of any sort. RH DRL works fine; goes out when lights (side or dipped) are switched on, as normal.

Ran a VCDS test and got the attached readout.

My feeling is there is bad connection to some kind of relay/switching circuit that controls switching on/off the DRL's with the main lights. Problem is, I have no idea where to look!

Any clues and thoughts would be much appreciated, cheers,

Steve
