Replacing front shock absorbers and springs

Featured Replies

I have to replace the front shock absorbers and springs on my Octavia. I ordered the parts online, and after trying to mount the shock absorber and spring, it appears like the bump stock and the protective cap are wrong. I ordered bump stock and protective cap similar to these: https://partsfinder.bilsteingroup.com/en/article/febi/13076

However, after looking at an instruction video online, they are supposed to look like this: https://www.autodoc.co.no/sachs/1231026

The last one are for cars with sports suspension, which I don't have, and apparently the first ones are for cars without. Both options were available to me after entering the registration number of my car.

Could someone tell me which of these are correct parts for a 2007 Octavia 1,9 hatchback, with standard suspension? And if the first ones are correct, could someone tell me how they are supposed to be fitted because I'm unable to get it to fit correctly.

Thanks in advance!
