Hi,

 

Im new to Skoda's , or any VAG based motor for that matter and recently bought a MK1 56 plate sprint yellow Fabia VRS with black leather interior from Bath.  The guy I purchased from had it a year, before that It was located in Cheddar, possibly by someone on this forum as it has a "BRISKODA" sticker on the back window. Its a great car and im very impressed, however it does have some issues im lead to believe are common whilst scouring this forum. 

 

The rear NS rear door is inoperative, IE central locking actuator / motor is unresponsive.

Turbo whistle. up to and around 2000rpm but disappears  with a "chirp" under load, (noticed egr to intercooler pipe union clip quite loose with signs of soiling, hopefully its just this boost leak).

Upon hard acceleration or gearchange there is a momentary jolt or snatch, hopefully a lower engine mount or gearbox mount.

 

As a newbie Ive been looking through the posts here and found valuable info and advice, but if anyone knows of specific threads to the issues above that would, or can point me where to correctly post it would be greatly appreciated.
