Reversing camera - pics needed please!

Featured Replies

Would anyone with a vRS hatchback with reversing camera be willing to post a picture of the image they get on the infotainment system screen when they reverse please? I'm sure there's something wrong with my camera but Skoda had a look at it today whilst servicing my car, and although the service manager felt that there was something wrong too, an underling who had 'been on a vRS course' said that it was fine, 'they're all like that', so nothing has been done. I wanted to check this though against other owners' pics to be on the safe side. Any help much appreciated. :)

You could start by posting a picture of yours?!

What do you think the problem is?

Have taken a photo but will have to wait until Friday evening to upload having connection problems at work as am based in a rural location with naff internet. Later honest!

There are different views available when the camera is on - I discovered the tow hitch one the other day to assist you with hitching up to a trailer,  select reverse and ten move your hand near the screen and the menu options will appear.

The problem seems to be that I now have bumper, number plate and edges of spoiler on the screen and could swear they didn't use to be there:

Possible that your camera has shifted within the handle?

That's what I thought and what the service manager thought initially when he came to pick the car up.... hence why I'd like to check against someone else's camera so that I can get them to repair if needed whilst I'm still within the warranty period....

So they've replaced the camera today and apparently the view is exactly the same.... Very odd. Could anyone else post a view of their screen to verify please?

Never noticed it before myself, but mine also shows a bit of bumper and number plate.

16 plate O3 vRS petrol.

Hope this helps.

It really helps, huge thanks for taking the trouble. :)

Looks like they've changed it on the f/l vRS but mine is pretty much as it should be.... Could swear it didn't used to have the number plate on but I just mustn't have noticed it until I really looked. I can put this to bed then!

No worries.

I've only got Park Assist, not Park Pilot, so there may be a difference there as well.
