Droplinks & Front Brakes

Can a defective/failed droplink cause brake binding?

Currently on a short break and upon arrival at the hotel after 85 mile journey (last 10 miles were on twisty turny roads with a lot of braking due to blind bends) noted the OSF brake disc was hot and could 'smell' it. According to the temperature laser gun I carry the disc was reading 50 - 55°c, the other discs were reading mid 30's.

I could also hear a banging noise from the same front wheel similar to when previous droplinks failed.

OS front and rear brake calipers (and all discs and pads) were replaced in November last year due to the front caliper seizing. In the last 3 years I've had to replace the OSF droplink on at least 3 occasions.

Thanks in advance.

Disregard.
