Hi all took me car to ATS for front wheel alignment.

A have replaced the rear bushes on the front wishbones.

The guy adjusted it took it out for test drive then he put it back on ramp because the steering wheel wasnt straight but when he put lazers back on the alignment had moved he said it wasnt were he adjusted it up to the levels were out so he tryed it again  took it out for another test drive.

Came back put it back on the ramp adjusted it again took it out for another test drive came back and said there must be other suspension issues because he cant get it right. everytime he adjusts it takes it out for a drive and comes back checks it the levels are out to were hes setting them to any suggestions please.

Cheers graeme.

Had something similar years ago on a rover, after 3 attempts at adjusting tow in the garage gave up, ended up taking it else where who spotted one of the front tyres was deformed, probably pot hole damaged,

Might be an idea to jack the front end and spin the tyres to make sure they are still round.

You'll find that most places who do alignment will hang the alignment targets so that the contact points are resting on the sidewall of the tyre itself. This can be a few mm out depending on pressure or sidewall markings, so everytime they measure it will be different.

Find a place that will fix the targets firmly against the metal of the wheel before measuring. (even some Hunter places do this!!!)
