Hi, My Skoda Octavia doesn’t always beep when I lock it, also when it does beep the message “deadlocks check manual” comes up when I remove the ignition key (before I try and lock it), but when the message doesn’t appear neither does it beep on locking.... hope that makes sense....  it is still locking all the doors, but I’m worried that maybe the alarm isn’t setting itself... any help would be appreciated 

Are you always using the same key? My wife's key makes it beep, mine doesn't. Settings in the 'infotainment' etc.

Thanks, but yes I am using the same key.  I think I have found the problem, the boot door is not latching firmly, unless I slam it down hard.....
