Start up problem

Featured Replies

I had trouble getting my Karoq to open. When it finally did and I pressed start, I got a message displayed on the Columbus stating

Hot Key place in appropriate position (or words to that effect, it only stays on for a few seconds) this happened twice. All i could think to do was place the key buy the parking brake switch and try again. It started up ok and i was able to drive home. I called my Skoda garage they have never heard of this before and have asked me to bring it in next week. I've searched online but can find nothing. The manual is no help either.

Does anyone have any thought that may help me at the dealers.

Does this help?   Manual p. 198-199.

Thank you for your quick response I tried what you suggested and the car started straight away. I did notice when I pushed the button with the key the red light on the key flashed so i'm hoping this means the problem is fixed. - fingers crossed....

Once again thank you

Haha, that was from someone who is driving a 13 years old Octavia and still waiting for Karoq 1.5 TSI 4x4 to become available for order ... :)
