Upgrade light to auto

Featured Replies

Is it possible to upgrade from standard light s(switch) to auto lights and switch

Yes. Someone else has done it within the last few weeks as well, if memory serves.

It’s quite involved though, require a new light sensor behind the windscreen. Amazingly, most things are doable on these MQB platform cars.

You could check with this guy to see if the component that he was looking at, actually worked for him.

If it worked - it could be a very easy way to Auto-Headlights.

He's on the Fabia III forum :

I used something similar on my Citigo and it works well, but it’s a much simpler car. It would be interesting to see how such a device would work in an Octavia.

A few utube vids show you how

I really only want side light and tail light s to come on auto when central locking comes on/off as at present dlr lights come on with ignition and dip beam on when on with ignition while with auto lights side light front and rear can that be done

you would be better off asking in the vcds coding forum i think
