Third Citigo

Featured Replies

Hi all

just wanted to say that we're now into the second week of our third Citigo. Just traded a three year old Nissan Leaf electric at Simpsons of Colne for a three-year old Citigo 60 SE with ASG.  This is the second we've had with ASG although the previous two were 75 bhp versions.

Really enjoying it and it tells us it's doing over 60 mpg.

is it better than the Leaf?  In my view yes, in almost every way.  It's a pleasanter drive, more involving and far better quality.  Perhaps electricity in the Leaf was cheaper, but 55 to 65 miles per charge really doesn't do it for me.

We're about to get rid of our 1st Citigo SE L asg and replace it with  the same at Simpsons Preston.

You've got the same Yeti model as my parents as well I see.

Our Yeti is waiting to get replaced by a 1.0 DSG Octavia Estate.   The Yetis have been great (we've had 4) but we need something with a but more boot space and not as high with a roof box.

how have you/do. you find Simpsons?  I've been dying g them for many years and always found them OK but ace been surprised to read some negative comments.  They're no perfect but they've always been reasonable when we've had a problem.

i see you have an A40.  I've just sold my 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300E-24.

Yes got an A40 which is quite prehistoric to drive on today's roads!

Simpsons Preston is ok but need to concentrate a little more on customer service. They are very expensive on servicing so I go to RRG Bolton for that which is cheaper and you get a video of you car on the ramps.

They also dont want to talk too much about the cars but quickly get you to their desk to discuss finance which they can tie you in knots with if you're not careful.

I guess a lot of dealerships are like this.

I'm due to change the Fabia next year so I'll shop around to be honest as the final cost is important to me.
