FL headlight misting

Featured Replies

I had the car jet washed recently and a few days later noticed it had misted up. I took the headlight out and heated it up and seemed to clear it. Today we have had heavy rain and it's misted up again. There is no noticeable cracks at all and all the back panels seem to be on tight. Any ideas is it commen?

It can happen some times when sudden and excess moisture along with environmental big differences in temp.

It could be a combination though.

I think it does not happen often in those headlights.

Don't be afraid it will leave no stains at all after drying..

We have had up and down weather last few weeks so maybe just doesn't look very nice looking at it really. Cheers mate

I have taken the headlight out today taken the back off and had a real good look around it. I could not see anything cracked or blocked I topped it ups and noticed actual water inside the headlight not much but there was some. We had bad rain Tuesday into Wednesday.

I don't think that rain even if heavy is blamed for water ingress inside the headlight device.

I would say power-jet washing mostly though..
