Springs and Damper change/upgrade options?

Hi everyone, probably multiple topics about this over the years but thought I would ask in case anything has changed etc...

My current shocks/dampers squeal or squeak over bumps. Its hugely annoying, I believe it to be the dampers anyway but could be wrong. Only happens on bumps or pot holes. The dampers and springs have a few minor bits of deteriation so figured it's time for an upgrade or change.

So what are you all running on a MK2 VRS TSI? I have seen the Bilstein B4 and Eibach 20mm lowering spring combination and am happy to lower 20mm, I would like a small amount but not too much comfort sacrifice. Also there are Bilstein B6 but the cost of B4 to B6 is £300 and that's quite a bit Is this the best combination or there is the Bilstein B12 complete kit but I see that lowers by 30mm and I don't want that much really.

Just wondering on everyones thoughts and opinions?
