How do you remove the main headlight bulb? I can't get the black plastic connection off to allow me access to the bulb itself. I have tried pulling and twisting it but nothing happens. Very frustrating and the manual is no help. It's a 2013 Fabia estate if that helps! 

Do you know what type of bulbs it has? My older Fabia has H7's and the clip that connects to the bulb is quite tight. There are metal tangs that need squeezing and/or prising open to get the bulb out of its holder.

Yes, they're H7s. I haven't got to the metal clips yet: struggling to remove the black connector before that!

Although that looks different to mine (May be angle, may be different set up) It looks like you are gonna need to rotate the silver metal ring anti clockwise about a quarter twist, and it should then come out. You will then have the bulb still attached to the wiring loom and the black connecter will have metallic parts attached that need prising open so to speak, in order to pull off the bulb.  If you look at the top part of the main bulb holder in the photo, there seems to be an arrow. When you twist it, it will move left so say its now at 12 0'clock, it will face about 10 o'clock and then the bulb should pop out. They can be quite hard to turn so take care not to cut yourself or damage the holder, although they are fairly easy to obtain. Replacing is the opposite process.

 

It is easier to remove the black part when the whole thing is off, though. I think thats why you are struggling!
