Skoda Octavia Visteon aux help

Featured Replies

hello

so i have just been given my dads old 2005 skoda octavia. im in love im not going to lie. even going from a slightly more modern 2009 clio.

now im 25 so i have no idea what these "cd" things are. thats a joke i do but i dont have a massive collection. i would like to add aux to the headunit if thats possible.

that where i was hoping one of you might be able to help me out. i have pulled out the headunit/cdplayer to find out the model number. this unit has the cd changer in the back

the model number is visteon vp4sbf-18c815-af.

im shocked by how great the sound system is in the car to be fair. i have looked about on ebay and found which start at £10 and go all the way up to over £100.

i have found a nice cheap one but im not sure if it will work with my unit.  please could somebody advise me on which i should by?

any help would be very handy.

thanks a bunch

depending on what spec your Octy is,(although the 6 disc changer in the boot tells me it could an elegance spec, or an SE) then it might be prudent to look in the centre arm rest as that is where the AUX conection is. One of the buttons in the head unit will switch between the CD on the head unit and the changer and may bring the AUX in, of the top of my head i can't remember as my current octy has a bolero unit fitted. Hope this helps.

the car doesnt come with an aux connection. i have ordered a little box from amazon which should arrive today which should add an aux connection. i will keep this post updated.

first update, wrong connection. have ordered a second one which will hopefully be the correct 12 pin connector!
